For the calculation, we need the number of sealing cycles. When several seams are made in one machine cyle, this number differs from the machine cycles. If sealing samples are made, we need to know how much time will be available to keep the sealing jaws closed.

The standard shape for flat seals is the tapered band. For cut-and-seal with a narrow seam, cutting wire is used normally. For cut-and-seal with wider seams, beaded band is used normally. Depending on the application, other shapes may be better. To find out what type of heatseal band is suitable for your application, we can make sample seals with your film for you.
